Mirravol Fitness is a full-service strength and conditioning gym in the heart of Houston's Montrose neighborhood. We offer powerlifting, group conditioning, and individual coaching for athletes at every level.
Structured barbell training for all levels — from first-time lifters to competitive athletes preparing for USAPL meets. Coach Rivera designs each 12-week cycle with progressive overload and technique refinement at every session.
High-energy group sessions built around metabolic conditioning, kettlebell complexes, and functional circuit work. Coach Adeyemi programs every class for scalable intensity — challenging for experienced athletes, accessible for newcomers.
Led by licensed physical therapy assistant Coach Park, mobility sessions address the movement restrictions that limit performance in every other training format. Every new member receives a complimentary screen in their first week.
Three certified coaches with competitive backgrounds across strength, conditioning, and physical rehabilitation.
Diego holds a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Houston and has competed in USAPL powerlifting for nine years. He has coached over 150 members through their first competition and built Mirravol's barbell programming from launch in 2018. His coaching approach prioritizes technique over load at every stage of development.
Funke spent eight years as a collegiate track and field coach at Rice University before transitioning to functional fitness. She designs all of Mirravol's group conditioning programming with a focus on building sustainable work capacity. Her 6 AM class consistently draws the highest weekly attendance at the gym.
Jin is a licensed physical therapy assistant and certified corrective exercise specialist. He bridges the gap between hard training and athletic longevity, identifying the movement patterns that limit performance before they lead to injury. Every new Mirravol member receives a complimentary FMS screen with Jin in their first week.

Everything you need to know before your first visit to Mirravol Fitness in Montrose, Houston.
"I have trained at six gyms in Houston over the years. Mirravol's barbell setup is the most complete I have found in the city — 12 platforms, competition-grade bars, and a coach who actually knows how to program a meet cycle. Diego fixed my squat depth issue in two sessions that I had been ignoring for years."
"Funke's 6 AM conditioning class is genuinely the reason I get out of bed four mornings a week. She scales every movement in the room without making anyone feel out of place. I upgraded from Starter to Unlimited after three weeks because I wanted to attend more often."
"Jin's movement screen in my first week identified an ankle mobility restriction I had been compensating for without realizing it. The corrective sequence took ten minutes before each session. My squat depth and bar path both improved noticeably within six weeks. The mobility programming here adds real value."
Training frequency is one of the most debated variables in strength programming. Coach Rivera breaks down what the evidence supports and how to find the right schedule for your recovery capacity.
The swing, clean, press, and Turkish get-up cover more athletic qualities than almost any other four movements in training. Coach Adeyemi explains why and how to learn them correctly.
Strength athletes obsess over programming and nutrition while ignoring the one variable that affects every training adaptation: sleep. Coach Park explains what the research shows and how to improve yours.
